Аннотация (укр.):	У статті йдеться про негативний вплив підвищеного рівня тривожності на професійну діяльність пожежних-рятувальників ДСНС України. Визначено, що тривожність пожежних-рятувальників має свою специфіку, що пов’язано з підвищеною небезпекою, фізичними та психологічними перевантаженнями, напруженістю та інтенсивністю професійної діяльності. Проведеним дослідженням встановлено, що найбільш тривожними є “молоді” пожежні-рятувальники з незначним строком служби в підрозділах ДСНС України.
Аннотация (англ.):	Th e article is devoted to the negative impact of high anxiety level on human activities, and professional activities of fi remen and rescuers of State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in particular. It is noted that the eff ectiveness of professional activities of professional activities of fi remen and rescuers depends on genetically-based personality traits and professionally important qualities, one of which is the level of anxiety. It is determined that the high level of anxiety has a negative impact on the functioning of cognitive processes and, consequently, leads to ineffi cient operations. Th us, an increased level of anxiety is one of the risk factors that carry adverse eff ects on adaptation abilities in stressful situations as well as leads to a narrowing of the fi eld of attention, impaired intellectual processes. It is noted that people with high anxiety level are more successful when dealing with light tasks than ones with low level. When performing complex tasks, however, people with lower level of anxiety are more successful. It is determined that fi re-rescue specialists’ anxiety has its own specifi cs, which is associated with increased risk, physical and psychological overload, strength and intensity of professional activity. Increased anxiety may be a component of some diseases, it breaks the correctness of professional fi rerescue operations. Conducted research has been found that the most anxious are “young” fi re-rescue workers with small experience in service, that indicates the presence of uncertainty in their own abilities, the desire to avoid critical situations, the tendency to feel fear. Th is can lead to the breakdown of adaptation processes of stress, nervousness, which had an unfavorable impact on their careers. Th ey are more prone to nervous breakdowns, aff ective reactions in situations where it is about their competence in certain matters of prestige. It is needless to emphasize the results of their activities or behaviors, categorically against them tone or such, expressing doubt – can lead to confl icts, create all kinds of psychological barriers that prevent eff ective interaction with them. It is noted that anxious employees of fi re-rescue divisions of State Emergency Service of Ukraine made dangerously high demands, even in situations where they are objectively feasible for them. Inadequate requirements perception and response to them can delay and even prevent the execution of any task.
